Walker's Grille is a "newer" restaurant in the Kingstowne-Alexandria area. Located off the beaten track in the business area over by the INOVA buildings, Walker's Grille caters more to a business clientale. They are known for their happy hour and lunches specifically. For these reasons I passed by this place a million times before I finally decided to try it for dinner one evening. I found their menu to be quite extensive with MANY gluten-free offerings. Every item on the menu is prepared with fresh organic ingredients and great care was given to ensure there was no cross contamination for my meal. There were four people in my dinner party and every single one of us was happy with our choice. I ordered a steak filet and was given a delicious piece of meat that melted in my mouth with each bite. If you are in the area, I strongly recommend you taking the opportunity to check out Walker's Grille.

Sorry I've been off the grid for so long. We have had quite a lot going on in the McMahon household the last few months. We've battled a serious illness in the family that required a long hospital and rehab stay. We've bought a new home and moved houses. We've renovated and prepared the old home for renters. I've completed and defended my thesis and graduated from grad school. And I've survived the first trimester of my first pregnancy! To say it's been a roller coaster ride is an understatement. However, it appears we've finally reached the end of the tunnel and I can enjoy daylight and normalcy again. I appreciate your patience during my absence. I've missed you all and I'm glad to be back in action. I have at least gathered tons of new gluten-free finds both restaurant and recipe-wise that I can't wait to share with you in the coming weeks. So look out world- I'm back!!
I'm a stay at home mom and writer who has been living in the NOVA area for the past nine years. I love to shop and I love good food. I'm hoping that combo will pay off as I seek out the best gluten free food in the NOVA area. Enjoy!
